Dear President Roh Moo-hyun
July 30, 2007
Your Excellency,
Seeing as how two of your citizens have been murdered by the Taliban, and another twenty-two — mostly young women on a mission trip — remain hostages who are to be killed soon… is it not time to deploy the 707th Special Missions Battalion to Afghanistan in full force?
The world apparently simply doesn’t care that Islamic terrorists have kidnapped, then murdered innocent civilians whose only crime was attempting to help the people of Afghanistan. Our country, the United States, is currently handcuffed due to efforts by the liberals and left-wing Bush-haters to stop anything that smacks of resistance against the terrorists.
You, however, are not so restrained. You have far greater control over your media than we do, thanks to the absence of any free speech rights. And the Korean people are made of extremely tougher stuff than the average American liberal. I’m sure the American military — your longstanding allies — and the Hamid Karzai government of Afghanistan would give you permission to hunt down and punish the Taliban kidnapping murderers.
Go kill the barbarians, and make an example of them. Let the savages know in no uncertain terms that harming a citizen of Korea will result in extremely unpleasant consequences. They already know they can kidnap Westerners with aplomb. Don’t get categorized as a victim in their book. They celebrate death and understand violence; give them what they seek. In full measure, and then some.
